A year is coming to an end, just like it has always been. Two thousand years ago, our ancestors started using this year, month and day calculation system. We follow that until today, and we will continue follow this system for the near future.
This year past so quickly that it seems many more hours a day, many more days per week, many more weeks per month and many more months per year are required, so that we could finish up everything we have to do. There are endless work waiting for us, and we definitely need more time. However, time is fixed and we cannot add more to it, though we always want to.
Just like me, I have so much undone homework on my desk for this Christmas vacation. A vacation should be used for relaxation, not for work. Though, in reality, it is the opposite. Vacations are great time for teachers to assign work to their students, and have them work as if the vacation days are actually hardworking days.
Let’s talk about something happy. I just met with a few old primary schoolmates. We had a tremendous time, and we definitely enjoyed the day. We gathered together few days ago. Without any organisation nor preparation, we met at Causeway Bay at night. We had a dinner together, and the food was all right, just let us forget about the so-called services provided by the staffs in the restaurant. We then wandered on the street. That was just amazing that we could join together and had a happy day.
I had a wonderful summer vacation. My family and I went on two trips: one to Australia, and one to Japan. They were great places that I would never forget. I took heaps of pictures, as usual. If you are a good friend of mine, you should have seen them on Facebook long time ago. (Not so long ago, actually, just a few months back.)
Back in September, I was promoted to Form Five, and I knew it is time for me to work hard, as a big challenge is ahead of me - the HKCEE. With the introduction of the New School System, 3-3-4, I am among the last group of students taking the HKCEE. It is important that I work my utmost and get good results. There is not a second chance, so I must work my very best to get good results. Though, it still has not work out very well yet. I really have to pick up my courage to study. Not just to study, but to study very hard. I hope you would give me unequivocal support! I know you will, will you not?
2009 is coming to an end soon, just in another nine hours. We should all draw up a plan for the next year, and try to finish up all stuffs as soon as possible. As a farewell message for 2009, let’s hope for the best, and work to gain the rest!
Alan
